Hannah Wineburgh is a psychotherapist practicing in Brooklyn Heights and virtually. She holds a Masters in Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and has received advanced training in relational psychodynamic theory from the Stephen Mitchell Relational Center. Hannah is keenly aware of the ways in which race, class, sexuality and ability inform our lived experiences, and she holds this framework in mind when working with her clients. Much of her work focuses on relational conflict, trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and chronic illness. Prior to being in private practice, Hannah worked in school settings with both parents and children, as well as in outpatient mental health settings. Hannah specializes in working with young adults and adults.

About

I believe that we all have a story worth telling. Psychotherapy grants us permission to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences that we may not have the ability to examine elsewhere. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative and is informed by attachment and psychodynamic frameworks. I believe that by being curious about our earliest attachments, and our relationship to self and others, that we can experience deeper and more fulfilling connections in our present day lives. In working together, it is my hope that you will build trust in your capacity to hold and process difficult emotional experiences, and to feel more deeply seen and heard. It is my privilege to bear witness to your story.

Philosophy

Services and Insurance

I provide individual psychotherapy to adults and young adults. Sessions take place once or twice per week and are 45 minutes long. My fees are industry standard for NYC. While I am not in network with any insurance companies, I am happy to provide you with paperwork to receive out of network reimbursement. Please reach out to me and we can discuss my rate, along with any questions you may have about insurance reimbursement.

To determine your out of network coverage, please consider asking your insurance company the following questions:

  1. What is my deductible for outpatient mental health?

  2. Once deductible is met, what percent of session fee is covered by insurance?
